Phil Mickelsons sponsorship with Chelsea New Zealand has come to an end.
Chelsea was expected to sponsor the New Zealand team, and now the company is no longer involved.
Mickelson’s sponsorship agreement with the New York City Giants runs through 2021.
The New York Times first reported the announcement on Thursday, and a Chelseans spokeswoman said the company had decided to terminate the sponsorship.
Mickelsons representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Mickelsson, who owns and manages the New Jersey Devils, is in his first year in New Zealand after spending five years with the Yankees.
Mickessons sponsorship has been with the country for years, and the company has sponsored New Zealand’s women’s national team.
Mickellson won the World Cup in 2016.
In the past, Mickelssons sponsors have included a New Zealand women’s hockey team and the New England Patriots.
The New Zealand Women’s National Hockey Team was led by Mickelsson’s wife, Kelly, and their two daughters, Caroline and Chloe.
