When is next?
That is the big question.
On Thursday, the LFC shirt sponsor will be the Liverpool Foundation, who will be a subsidiary of the company, with the two companies working in tandem to support Liverpool and the football community.
The foundation will be run by the Liverpool Group, the company behind the LUKO electric vehicle, and the Luka Matic.
The Foundation has been run by an executive board chaired by former Chelsea and Barcelona head coach Frank de Boer for the past two years, but it is now looking to get back to full strength with a new director, former Manchester United assistant manager David Sullivan, who is now with Luka’s former club, Borussia Dortmund.
Sullivan, currently at West Ham United, has already led the Foundation to record record £1.5 million in charitable donations.
It is unclear whether Sullivan will be able to continue with his role with the Foundation, but a spokesperson for the Liverpool Trust, the foundation, said: “We have had some issues with the Trust.
It has been an incredible opportunity to get to know Mr Sullivan, and we are delighted that he has agreed to take on a new role.”
Luka had already started a new chapter with Liverpool, with his club signing Brazilian striker Luiz Gustavo to a contract extension that will run until 2020.
